Seif joined McDaniel in 2017 and is graduating with a communication major.
His thesis project is titled “The Bench Collective,” which he says is “an online-offline social community mean to help people open up about themselves to each other.” The project actually started a couple semesters prior when the bench in the front yard of the college got taken away due to its state, and Seif decided to make a campaign to raise money for a new bench. He did this because students love hanging out and talking around the bench, and he did not want that taken away. He continued and developed this campaign and idea further for his thesis, where he makes videos asking people questions such as “What does love mean to you?” or “What does family mean to you?” and has different people elaborate on their thoughts. He says his favorite videos are the ones with Verse, as his genuine answers attract a lot of people.
Seif is planning on working on The Bench Collective after graduation while also working in marketing and branding. Although his favorite videos are featured here, there are many more on his Instagram and Tiktok accounts.
